What is Resonak1?
* This device activates resonance by slightly vibrating your string instrument before use, so that it swings in and thus reaches its “operating temperature”.
* It reduces the time needed to play in a string through vibrations at the bridge.
* It is a vibrator, specially made for violins, violas and cellos which is specifically focused on influencing the rib cage with its parts connecting front and back. As air humidity can cause local natural tensions which may have a bad influence on the sound, these tensions can be dismantled at those connecting parts.
* It is assembled at the back of the bridge. It is recommended to screw the assembly panel in changing order to avoid its getting stuck when being screwed through the bridge holes. A foam rubber tape placed between strings and fingerboard damps the noise coming from the swinging strings.
* It is not a complete frequency treatment for the violin, the viola or the cello. To swing in the instrument, Resonak1 only uses cavity resonance (Helmholtz Resonance) with its annular sound radiation. To find out more about the complete frequency treatment, please refer to the Vibrelax site.
* It consists of four tuning modes. These modes are important to find the cavity resonance of violins, violas and/or cellos. Through scanning the F-holes you can easily find the maximum vibration, that means the semitone cavity resonance. For violins the cavity resonance can be found approximately at c1, for violas (big medium-sized) it can be found approximately at a. For smaller violas it can be found approximately at h in the semitone area, while for cellos the semitone cavity resonance can be found approximately at G.
